Runa's Oracle ♥
“A garden to walk in and immensity to dream in--what more could he ask? A few flowers at his feet and above him the stars.”
― Victor Hugo
Have you ever closed your eyes and been transported to the loveliest, most relaxing place in nature that you know?
I do it all the time! It's a place where I reconnect to my "heartspace", the place where I am most able to hear my Inner Wisdom.
There's a few ways to get there:
◘ Remember a beautiful and peaceful place you've been
◘ Find a photo online of a place you'd like to be
◘ Watch Louie Schwartzberg's Moving Art for a while
(episodes on Netflix)
◘ Use your imagination to create a customized space
When in a quiet and comfortable place, take a few deep breaths in and out through your nose. Place your hand over your heart, if desired. Close your eyes and see (use whatever senses you need) your garden in your mind's eye. Imagine that you are in your garden now. Take a few moments to explore...
When you are ready, take a deep breath in and out, and open your eyes.
CONGRATS! You have just created your Inner Garden. Mine is typically a grove of trees next to a beautiful pool of water, close to a seaside cliff in Ireland. But it can, and does, change. I've never been to Ireland; my Inner Garden is entirely imagined.
I use it all the time to reconnect with my heartspace, to center myself, and even as a point of departure for other meditative journeys, especially for DayTime Dreaming. You can do the same!
Tell me about your inner garden in the comments below!
